Baked Brie with Fig Jam & Pecans RecipeI find it impossible to attend a party without bringing a dish to share.  I know that I appreciate it as a hostess when guests offer to bring something, so I try to do the same for others.  That being said, I don’t always have a whole lot of time in which to prepare food to bring.   So more often than not I offer to bring an appetizer, because there are so many simple recipes out there that taste delicious (see my 5 Easy Appetizers post).

Lately I’ve been on a baked Brie kick for my appetizer making.  And this Brie recipe I’ve been making is probably one of the most easy appetizers I’ve ever made.  I don’t even know if it qualifies as an actual recipe because it’s three ingredients and takes just about a minute to put together.   The end result is scrumptious, and always gets lots of praise.  So if you have a party to go to and need a quick last minute appetizer stop by the grocery, pick up what you need and in no time at all you’ll have a hit on your hands.

Baked Brie with Fig Spread & Pecans ::

Baked Brie IngredientsIngredients:

Brie Cheese

Fig Spread (I found mind near the fabulous cheese section of my grocery)

Pecan pieces

Directions:

Place Brie in an oven-safe dish, spread a little bit of Fig Spread over top of it and then sprinkle on pecan pieces.  Bake at 350º for 15-20 minutes.  Keep a close eye on it as it bakes, when the brie starts oozing a bit then it’s ready to come out of the oven!  I serve the baked brie with baguette slices that I’ve toasted (if I have time to do this) or if I’m in a rush then I serve it with crackers.  Either way it is delicious.  Serve warm.
