Even on a rainy day you can feel like you are partying on the beach when you eat at Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill on Clearwater Beach. If you are ever near Clearwater, Florida you should make a point to stop at one of the Frenchy’s locations, as they are an institution in Florida known for their fantastic fresh seafood. We were treated to lunch at Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill, which boasts incredible views from their many windows and open air beachfront patio. The beach view is just beautiful, and the kids spent much of the lunch standing at the railing watching the waves crash and sea gulls swoop around looking for grub.
During our trip to Florida they were experiencing an unusually rainy period, but we were excited to find that Frenchy’s had a covered section of their patio, so we could still dine outside and feel like we were right on the beach despite the rain. Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill has such a funky and fun atmosphere…music is playing (and they often have live music), people are laughing and the beachy decorations really do make you feel like you are not just dining but attending a beach party. Our service was fantastic (super friendly & fast), and everyone agreed that the food was very tasty. Dining at Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill is quite an awesome experience. Check out the pictures below from our lunch and you can catch a glimpse of our deliciously fun lunch at Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill!
Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill ::
The kids meal choices were great (and reasonably priced)…two of my boys stuck to their usual burger & chicken tenders options, but Max branched out and tried some clam strips and Ella had the grouper. I taste tested both of them and they were quite yummy. Their menu offers so many options that sounded intriguing, so it took me forever to pick something. I finally decided on the tacos, as did Michael. I opted for the Frenchy’s Fish Tacos and Michael had the Cali Beach Tacos, and both of them really hit the spot!
And we tried some local brews…
Unfortunately we were too full for dessert, because their Salted Caramel Cheesecake was calling my name…now I just have a reason to find my way back there again though!

Florida Vacation 2015: For our Summer Vacation this year we spent ten days in Florida, exploring the Tampa Bay and Gulf area with our family. There was an unusual amount of rain while we were there, but fortunately for us there’s plenty of fun to be had indoors. We spent quite a bit of our trip exploring museums, an aquarium, breweries, restaurants and more! I’ll be sharing our Florida vacation adventures in a series of posts in the hopes that they will inspire you to plan a trip to Florida for your family! Many thanks to my friends at the St. Pete’s & Clearwater Visitor’s Bureau for helping me plan this trip. So many memories were created while we were there!
