Party Planning with Remke MarketsBack in the day…before I had four kids and seemed to have more time on my hands I would spend hours and hours preparing for parties and making elaborate and delicious food to serve to my guests.  Now I’m all about saving time whenever I can, but I still want to serve great food when we have parties.  I use easy appetizer recipes and allow myself to take short cuts such as buying prepared items like dips and snacks.  Finding time-savers for party planning certainly makes party planning less stressful!  Recently I hosted a game night party and it was on a busy day where we had to contend with soccer games, a birthday party for one of the boys, church and the daily to-do’s.  I needed to have food to serve at the party but did not have the time to spend hours in the kitchen.  I headed to Remke Markets in the hopes of finding some help with my party planning.   I left with everything I needed for my party and the spread of appetizers at the party was met with approval and smiles (especially from my kids who LOVE when we have snacky foods for dinner).  Check out how I made the evening easier by  party planning with Remke Markets and then see my menu below for all of the EASY snacks, desserts and sliders I made for the party.

Party Planning With Remke Markets:

Remke Markets offers a HUGE selection of ready to serve food items like cookies, dips, fruit trays, veggie platters, salsas, and much more.  I grabbed a few things for my party, and was tempted to say I made them myself when people asked, but I couldn’t do it and had to admit that I stocked up on deli dips and  bakery cookies from Remke Markets.  One of the biggest hits of the night was the Salami Dip prepared by the Remke Markets deli.  I had heard many friends talk about this dip and how good it was, so I was intrigued.  It was sooooo good!  I served it with crackers and everyone gobbled it up.

I always like to have bowls of nuts, pretzels, or other crunchy munchables out when we are having a party.  Ella picked out Trail Mix from Remke for our game night and it was a hit!  Mmmm…chocolate and salty peanuts together….heaven!

One thing I really love most about Remke Markets is their selection of locally made products.  My neighborhood Remke Markets (Buttermilk Pike) had a wide selection of spices and such from Colonel De’s Gourmet Herbs and Spices and they also had a great selection of local craft brews that I could choose from for our game night.

Snacks for dinner is one of my favorite ways to serve a meal at a party! Here’s what we served:

Mango Salsa from the produce section at RM with tortilla chips, and this salsa wasn’t just good with chips, we put it over grilled Tilapia as well that weekend and OH  MY…it was fabulous.

Trail Mix

Kettle Corn

Salami Dip from the Deli section of RM with crackers

Pot Roast Sliders  (too messy to photograph, but these are ALWAYS a hit).  I found all the ingredients I needed at Remke, from the roast to the King’s Hawaiian Rolls.

And for dessert we had cookies from the Remke bakery paired with Root Beer Floats (the kids had regular ol’ root beer and the adults were treated to Hard Root Beer for their floats).
