16 Bit Bar + ArcadeIf you want to find a plethora of old school arcade games under one roof you NEED to visit 16 Bit Bar + Arcade in Over the Rhine.  We went a few weeks ago for a date night and we were both impressed by how many games from our childhood there were there.  Michael of course recognized more than me…but we both had a blast.  It doesn’t matter if you are a big time gamer or you’ve only ever played pinball, you will enjoy 16 Bit Bar + Arcade.  There’s arcade video games, pinball machines and even game consoles like Nintendo and PlayStation.  And while you play video games you can watch some vintage flicks from when we were young.  They have quite a collection of VHS tapes, and cassette tapes as well for the boom boxes.

As long as you purchase a drink you can play most of these games for FREE!  And 16 Bit Bar + Arcade is kid free, so you don’t have to share your game with your children (like we must at home).  On the third Sunday of the month (12p – 5p) kids are welcome to 16 Bit, and I’m sure we will take the kids there at some point, because I think they will love it too…but for now it’s our special blast from the past hangout where we can go and pretend we’re still in our teen years in the 80’s and 90’s.
