Cote Bonneville Spring House TourOne of my favorite things to do each spring is to attend the Cincinnati Preservation Association’s Spring House Tour.  Each year they select a unique and historic neighborhood in Cincinnati to spotlight.  Each year’s Spring House Tour showcases a collection of beautiful homes that have a rich history.  My father and I have been going to this tour for the past few years and it’s one of our favorite traditions.  If you want to learn more about Cincinnati’s architecture and history, or if you really just like to look at older, beautiful homes, I highly recommend this tour.  The tour happens on Saturday, May 7th and it is good to get your tickets ahead of time.  Make a day of this tour by having lunch on the town or dinner afterwards.  Make your own memories and traditions with the Spring House Tour!

A Hidden Treasure is Revealed on Cincinnati Preservation’s 2016 Spring House Tour

Explore a hidden Cincinnati treasure as part of Cincinnati Preservation’s (CPA) 2016 spring historic house tour.

The tour will take place on Saturday, May 7 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Raeburn subdivision in Mount Airy.

The walking tour will showcase four exceptional houses from different periods in the neighborhood’s fascinating history, including the grand Cote Bonneville built in 1902. This historic home and Cincinnati treasure was at the heart of the former Raeburn Estate and has never before been open for public tour. It features a circular tower, octagonal turret as well as a carriage house.

Cote Bonneville is at the heart of the Raeburn subdivision tucked away off Colerain Avenue. This subdivision was developed in three stages from the 1920s to the 2010s.

  • Wright House:  This is a modern, architect-designed “green” residence built in 2011 which achieved LEED Gold certification.
  • Kaneshiro House: This is an Asian-inspired California contemporary home built in 1985 with a private entry courtyard.
