Mad Beach BrewingWhen we travel we always like to find a local brewery to visit to try new brews.  In Johns Pass, Florida last summer we didn’t just visit Mad Beach Brewing, it became our hangout while we were on vacation.  During our stay at Madeira Beach last summer the weather forecast was abysmal.  There was rain nearly every single day that we were in Florida.  We spent as much time at the beach as we could, but when the rain clouds rolled in we had to find other entertainment.  And there’s only so much time you can spend cooped up inside with a family of six.  Lucky for us we stumbled upon Mad Beach Brewing while exploring the area…and we ended up going back several times.  In fact we loved our hangout so much that I found myself wishing it was closer to Cincinnati so we could visit again more frequently.

Mad Beach Brewing:

The beer lineup at Mad Beach was impressive, and we really liked all that we tried.  Since we’ve been there the brewery has also expanded and now offers food as well.

The first day we visited Mad Beach Brewing we grabbed Settlers of Catan from the trunk and picked up lunch from The Hut Bar & Grill which is just a few doors down from the brewery.  I love when a brewery is family friendly, the kids enjoy hanging out and playing games as much as we do.

Another rainy day spent at Mad Beach involved ice cream from Meyer’s House of Sweets and it was a tasty combination!

There’s all sorts of fun and games at Mad Beach Brewing…

GIANT Jenga!  I’ve never seen another Jenga game quite like this one…hard hats were required.

Florida Vacation 2015:  For our Summer Vacation in 2015 we spent ten days in Florida, exploring the Tampa Bay and Gulf area with our family.   There was an unusual amount of rain while we were there, but fortunately for us there’s plenty of fun to be had indoors.   We spent quite a bit of our trip exploring museums, an aquarium, breweries, restaurants and more!   I’ll be sharing our Florida vacation adventures in a series of posts in the hopes that they will inspire you to plan a trip to Florida for your family!  Many thanks to my friends at the St. Pete’s & Clearwater Visitor’s Bureau for helping me plan this trip.  So many memories were created while we were there!
