When I am in the mood for a sweet breakfast my favorite thing to eat  is a simple cream cheese coffee cake.  I do not have to run to the bakery to indulge my sweet tooth.  I can create an easy Cream Cheese Coffee Cake in my kitchen, and so can you.

You only need a few ingredients and a few minutes to whip up an easy Cream Cheese Coffee Cake at home.  I have put the recipe together in five easy steps for you.

Easy Cream Cheese Coffee Cake Recipe

Step One:  Lightly grease a glass casserole dish and lay one of the cans of refrigerated Crescent Rolls into the bottom and press down and pinch seams together.

Step Two:   Mix egg yolk, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla  until well blended and then spread evenly over the Crescent Roll base.

Step Three:  Spread the second container of Crescent Rolls over the cream cheese as evenly as possible and pinch seams together.

Step Four:  Whisk egg white and brush over rolls.  Sprinkle granulated sugar on top and then bake for 25 minutes.

Step Five:  Allow to cool and then enjoy!

Ingredients:

2 cans Refrigerated Crescent Rolls

1 Egg, (yolk and white separated)

2 packages Cream Cheese, softened (8 oz.)

1 cup Granulated Sugar

1 tsp. Vanilla

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375°  Lightly grease a glass casserole dish and lay one of the cans of refrigerated Crescent Rolls into the bottom and press down and pinch seams together.  Mix egg yolk, cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla  until well blended and then spread evenly over the Crescent Roll base.  Spread the second container of Crescent Rolls over the cream cheese as evenly as possible and pinch seams together.  Whisk egg white and brush over rolls.  Sprinkle granulated sugar on top and then bake for 25 minutes.  Allow to cool and then enjoy!
