This summer we had a chance to review some awesome craft books from The Quarto Group which is “a family of creative small publishers who specialize in beautifully illustrated books on, doing, makings, and learning”.  My kids (and myself) have had so much fun with these four books!

These crafty books have given me an endless amount of quiet time this summer because Henry loves coloring stickers, drawing and creating cool letters.  These four books have a little bit of everything, and adding them to your summer days will provide hours of fun for the whole family!  I will readily admit that I am not a great artist, but with books like these I can follow directions and make creations that make me feel artistic and creative.

The Mom & Me Journal is a sweet keepsake for kids to work on with their mom.   Stick it To ‘Em has ready made stickers and stickers you can color yourself.  And the stickers are cool and trendy (think donuts, unicorns, pizza, and more).  You can use Hand Lettering A to Z and Dangles to make gorgeous hand made quotes and drawings that are frame-able.  Ella is going to use some of the patterns in the Dangles book to create some embroidery projects this summer and she worked on a name picture using letters from the Hand  Lettering book to make a name sign for her room.  These books are going to keep my kids busy all summer long!

I have a set of four crafty books to give away to one lucky winner.  Read all about the books and how to enter the contest below.  To order any of these title visit Amazon.

Hand Lettering A to Z: A World of Creative Ideas for Drawing and Designing Alphabets

By: Abbey Sy

Hand Lettering A to Z is a fun, hands-on book in which artist and calligrapher Abbey Sy presents her creative lettering and invites artists from several countries to contribute alphabets of their own–all unique, all hand drawn. Each alphabet is paired with a collection of phrases to show readers different ways to use the lettering and have fun with it in different languages, including French, Spanish, Irish, Swedish, Portuguese, and more. Readers can use the phrases when making cards, gifts, or embellishing their journals. And unlike calligraphy, hand lettering does not require disciplined study. Hand-drawn lettering is meant to be personal and original, so even beginners can dive in!

Dangles are a perfect way to accentuate your stationary, invitations, lettering, and more.

By: Lacy Mucklow and Bethany Robertson

This full-color art journal for moms and kids to color and draw together in is designed to be a sharing experience.
