We have stayed in the Jailer’s Inn Bed & Breakfast twice now and each experience was full of memory making fun (and maybe a little haunting).  This old timey jail turned bed and breakfast is in the heart of Bourbon country in the quaint town of Bardstown.

The accommodations are unique and well cared for, and the historical lore from the jail is fascinating, but what shines at the Jailer’s Inn is the hospitality.  The employees go above and beyond for their guests.  The owner even makes the delicious brunch that is served in the gardens and while he cooks and serves the food he tells stories of old about the Jail.

Not only is the Jailer’s Inn a special place to stay, but the entire town of Bardstown is a lovely place to meander around for shopping and dining.  Visiting Bardstown truly is like stepping back in time and there really is no other Bed & Breakfast like the Jailer’s Inn, it is one of a kind!

Let my pictures convince you to plan a visit to the Jailer’s Inn…

The Jailer’s Inn Bed & Breakfast

The Inn:

The Jail turned B&B is gorgeous.  The rooms are comfortable but posh, they even make you feel like you are stepping back in time.  We stayed in the main Jail building the first time we visited a few years back, but stayed in the adjoining Family Suite this summer.  We were impressed with the accommodations both times.

The Gardens:

Breakfast in the garden at the Jailer’s Inn is just down right delightful (and delicious).  But the gardens are also perfect for sitting and relaxing, or for ghost hunting.

The Jail:

During your stay be sure to take a tour of the building and grounds.  There is so much history here, and so many stories from yesteryear!
