This summer we have taken many morning walks in Covington, just me and the boys, wandering around getting some exercise and taking in the sights while Ella takes cooking classes at Baker Hunt. I love walking around Covington, which is the city I lived in until I was eight, the city I taught in for years, and the city we frequent several times a week for dining, shopping, visiting the library, going to art class, and now to get some exercise. The boys and I wander around town taking having great conversations and enjoying the scenery. There is so much beauty in the architecture in Covington, even in some of the more dilapidated buildings, I love looking at all of the beautiful homes and noticing the intricate details and I treasure the time spent with my boys and the conversations we’ve had. After our walks we spend some time in the gardens of Baker Hunt waiting for Ella and enjoying the beauty there. Sometimes we wander the gardens, sometimes we chase butterflies, and sometimes we read books. Covington is one of my favorite places to take a walk.
