My family was treated to a magical experience this weekend. We were lucky enough to receive tickets from Feld Entertainment to go see Disney on Ice. Our seats were phenomenal, we were close enough to touch the skaters…in fact, a few times the performers interacted with us. At the beginning of the show Goofy fell into the chair in front of Max and leaned back. And Peter Pan gave the girls a wink and a smile. Disney on Ice is a wonderful family event. In this program Mickey & Minnie and friends were travelling, and along the way we were given a peek into several movies. We saw a mini-version of The Lion King, Peter Pan, Lilo & Stitch and The Little Mermaid. The skaters were awesome…especially those wearing big costumes (Flounder, Stitch, etc). I can’t believe how well they were zooming around with all that padding on! The tickets were free, so I splurged a bit and bought some popcorn buckets for the kids…they were in heaven. We are still saving for a trip to Disney World (and with a family of six saving their pocket change it could be a while), so for now we are happy to have special occasions like this where we get a glimpse of the characters in action.
