Old West Festival The Old West Festival opened up this weekend and we raced right up on opening day.  This was our third year in a row to visit.  It’s become an event that we just don’t want to miss.  There’s so much to do and see.  But one of my favorite things to do at the Old West Festival is to people watch.  It’s fascinating to just sit and watch the hustle and bustle of life in Dodge City pass you by.   The attention to detail for both the costumes and performances is amazing.  These folks really do bring characters to life at the Old West Festival!

People Watching at the Old West Festival:

Old West Festival Strolling

Old West Festival Native American

Old West Festival Dead Cowboy

Old West Festival Lady in Yellow

Old West Festival Lady in Green

Old West Festival Lady in Purple

This sweet girl, oh this sweet girl…isn’t she just adorable?!  She’s a bit of an OWF fixture, as I recall taking her picture when she was just a babe a few years ago…when her parents toted her around in a wheelbarrow made into a snug little bed perfect for a princess:
