Twilight in the GardensYou know by now that our family loves the arts.  Our children are involved in art programs at several different places, one of which is Baker Hunt.  Baker Hunt has a special place in my heart because of the history of this institution.  My great-grandmother participated in art programs at Baker Hunt, and several of her works of art have a sacred place in our home. And now my children take part in classes at Baker Hunt, and so the tradition continues.

Twilight in the Gardens is an annual event aimed at raising money for scholarships at Baker Hunt.  Twilight in the Gardens is described as an evening of Music, Art & Food.  This seemed like a perfect outing for us.  Why?  Because we love getting out of the house, we love live music, we love tasty food, we love art, and our children have benefited from the scholarships at Baker Hunt, so it was an opportunity for us to give back!  This was our first time attending Twilight in the Gardens, but I see this becoming a yearly date night for us.

There was plenty of delicious food to sample from some of our favorite restaurants, as well as a cash bar, art exhibits from some of the teachers at Baker Hunt, gypsy jazz music, and a setting like no other.  The garden was full of lights, the weather was perfect, and everyone was having a grand time.

We ran into so many people we knew, tasted some amazing food, and of course enjoyed a couple of cocktails and some adult conversation.  I love the munchkins, but a night out without them is a momentous and enjoyable event.

Twilight in the Gardens happens every year in September.  You can visit the Baker Hunt website for more information about the event and to order tickets.
