McGlasson’s Farm in Boone County is a favorite of mine, as I’ve been visiting them since I was a child to find the perfect pumpkin each year. I loved taking a drive in the country along Route 8 (River Road) with my family when I was young, and then in a pickup truck with Michael as a teenager. Yes…we carved pumpkins in high school…
McGlasson’s Farm is family owned and operated, and has been so for six generations. It is the perfect farmer’s market for finding fresh fruits and vegetables. Especially right now…it’s the perfect place to find all of your fall needs! They have a pumpkin patch, apples galore, caramel apples, apple cider, apple butter, fall decorations such as hay bales, Indian corn, gourds & more! If you are looking for a fall adventure with your family, I suggest a beautiful ride along the Ohio River to McGlasson’s Farm. And if you go on Saturdays in October you’ll be able to hear some great music from one until four in the afternoon. We came home with a huge haul of pumpkins, gourds, decorations and apples. And the kids enjoyed the beautiful drive along the river as much as I did.
