Have you heard? There’s a brand new store coming to town to help you with all of your flooring needs. Floor & Decor is set to open on June 5th in 
Cincinnati, with a showroom that is over 80,000 square feet featuring more than 2,500 different items to choose from! Wow! Their selection of flooring will be similar to selection Empire Carpet and Flooring has so you can check them out to get an idea of what’s going into this store. As I sit here typing this I think about the rental property we own, and my own home that could use some flooring attention, not to mention a big clean with the best mop for hardwood floors! It sounds like this is going to be an ideal place for us to visit when we set about on projects to re-vamp our floors, and anyone who knows me knows that I am itching to ditch our carpet in the living room and have hardwood floors instead! Although, concrete flooring has intrigued me after reading an article on it from Impressive Interior Design. Not only is concrete flooring eco-friendly, but it brings a modern look to the home and is easy to maintain if you regularly stain and seal it. Concrete flooring is certainly the new hardwood! I have always wanted a hardwood floor coupled with a tasteful rug – I’ve already seen some nice rug collections, designed by Bazaar Velvet which are well worth checking out. I cannot wait to check out Floor & Decor’s newest shop, I’m so glad they came to Cincinnati. Now I just need to convince my husband that it’s time to start this project….
While Floor & Decor will be opening on Thursday, June 5th with a ribbon-cutting, the real party will be on Saturday, June 7th. It’s going to be a fantastic event for the whole family, with a visit from Mr. Redlegs, face-painting, prizes, and life-size games for the family-like Operation, Connect Four, Jenga and more. They are inviting the entire community to come join in the fun.
Saturday: • 11am – 3pm: Family friendly festivities including over the top board games, face painting by Rainbow Faces, and more
• 11:30am – 1:30pm Visit with Cincinnati Reds mascot, Mr. Redlegs
• Noon: Roll the Dice for a chance to win $500,000
Summer seems like the perfect time to start some projects, and there are professionals on hand to help you out at Floor & Decor as you embark on 
projects big and small. They even offer complimentary design services to help get you started! The more I read about this store the more I am anxious to get started on our own projects around the house.
