Broadway in Cincinnati presents CinderellaCinderella is in town for just a few weeks and you are going to want to see this show!  If you are planning on going to see Cinderella at the Aronoff Center and expecting to see a story about the animated princess we are all so familiar with then you need to get that notion right out of your head!  Broadway in Cincinnati is presenting the Rodgers + Hammerstein’s version of Cinderella, which puts a different spin on this classic.  It’s a five star show in my opinion (and Ella’s too).  Ella and I ooohed, aaahed, laughed, gasped and cheered our way through this enchanting version of Cinderella.  The show offered lots of laughs, and the special effects were amazing…from the pumpkin turning into a coach to the Prince riding through the forest on his steed.  It’s of my opinion that this show is not just for the little princesses in your family, the young princes will enjoy it as well.  It’s a great show for the entire family, the young and the old and everyone in between.

Cinderella 0552rThe show was spectacular…the perfectly choreographed dancing, the gorgeous set, the outstanding singing, the perfect accompaniment from the orchestra and the AWESOME costumes.  The costumes probably deserve a blog post of their own, all of them were fantastic, but Cinderella’s magical dress changes stole the show.  At one point I looked at Ella in frustration and said “I still can’t figure out her dress changes!”.  She gave a slight roll of the eyes and said “You’re not supposed to mom!”.  Seriously, her costume would go from rags to gown in the blink of an eye.  Literally!  On stage!  Poof!  If you go to the show…don’t blink!

Don’t delay in getting your tickets to Cinderella, the show ends January 18th!
