Fireside Pizza in Walnut HillsFireside Pizza started out as a mobile oven wagon that would travel to events and serve delicious wood fired pizza, but now in addition to their mobile unit they have a permanent home at Firehouse #16 in Walnut Hills.  Stepping inside Fireside Pizza you feel like you have passed through a time warp because the century old fire house’s history and charm has been preserved, from the fire pole to the painting on the wall listing the streets that were serviced by Firehouse #16 back in the day.  It’s such a cool place to eat!  I’m pretty sure that Henry spent the entire meal trying to hatch a plan in his mind for how to get to the top of the fire pole to slide down.    And to further entertain the kids (or the parents for that matter), there’s a Ms. Pacman game and a Juke Box.  My favorite sort of entertainment here though would be to just sit and watch the pizzas being created and cooked in the kitchen.  I’m a big fan of restaurants that offer open kitchens where you can watch all the magic happen.  The food is reasonably priced, the beer selection is quite nice and the food was terrific!  This is going to be one of my go-to pizzerias from here on out!
