Did you know that Izzy’s offers “Beer Dinners” at their Fort Wright and Florence locations? These events are so much fun…they pair three courses at Izzy’s with three different craft brews from a chosen brewery. Last night we attended our second beer dinner and the brewery of the evening was one of our favorites, Braxton Brewing Company, located in Covington. We had the opportunity to try a few new menu items at Izzy’s (including the life changing Goetta Balls) and a few “new to us” brews from Braxton. The whole meal and beer pairings were delicious and we left the kids with a sitter and met friends for a double date, so the entire evening was a delight. If you love to try new brews you should get your friends together or plan a date night to attend the next Beer Dinner at Izzy’s! To find out more about the next Beer Dinner at Izzy’s be sure to follow Izzy’s on Facebook. That’s also a great way to find out about deals and new menu items!
Braxton Brewing Beer Dinner at Izzy’s:
Our Beer Dinner included the following: Goetta Balls (try them…you will thank me), a Pastrami Reuben (served on a pretzel bun…yum) and Key Lime Pie (a new addition to the Izzy’s menu). The meal was paired with the following Braxton beers: Trophy, Dead Blow Tropical Stout (my new favorite) and Storm Golden Cream Ale. I give the meal & beverages an A++ and I can’t wait to attend another beer dinner at Izzy’s!
Izzy’s hosts Beer Dinners monthly, sometimes at the Fort Wright location and sometimes at the Florence location. You can find out about upcoming Beer Dinners by visiting the Izzy’s website or by signing up for the Izzy’s Email List. If you love to try new food and new brews I suggest you attend one of these beer pairing dinners! And if you want to take the kids with you they can always order off of the regular menu while you enjoy the pairings menu of the evening. Tickets are $25 and include three beers, an appetizer, dinner, dessert and a complimentary glass from the Brewery of the evening.
Disclaimer: We were given complimentary tickets for the Beer Dinner at Izzy’s for review purposes, but the opinions in this post are 100% my own.
