The good folks at Mellow Mushroom have decided to shake things up a little bit on their menu and they are now offering two different burgers in addition to all of the other delicious offerings on the menu. Michael and I were invited to Mellow Mushroom in West Chester to try out the new burgers and we were very impressed. Although I won’t lie, I felt like I was cheating on their pizza by eating the burger….but it was worth it! We tried both the veggie burger and the meat burger and both were mighty tasty, but being meat-eaters I will say we both preferred the “Carnie” burger made with Black Angus beef. That being said, I thought that the veggie burger was really yummy as well, it had some really interesting flavor combinations that made my taste buds happy. To shake things up even further Mellow Mushroom isn’t serving their burgers with the traditional side of fries, instead they come paired with roasted potatoes, which were great.
Having burgers on the menu is sort of genius because not everyone is a fan of pizza, so now you can bring your non-pizza loving friend to lunch with you. And, even the most die hard pizza fans just sometimes aren’t in the mood. So now you have even more options at Mellow Mushroom! When you go to Mellow Mushroom next time give the burgers a try, and be sure to save room for dessert…I tried the brownie with the house-made cream on top and it was out of this world.
Mellow Mushroom Burgers:
The “Carnie” is made of 100% choice, all natural, certified Black Angus Beef. The beef is humanely raised and minimally processed, using no additives or ammoniated procedures. It will be available with Swiss cheese, caramelized onions, romaine lettuce, tomato, pickles and garlic aioli spread.
The “Herb” veggie burger, which can stand up to any beef patty, consists of kale, quinoa, roasted mushrooms, and brown rice among other seasonings and vegetables. These hearty, house-made patties are made with the highest-quality ingredients. The veggie patty will be prepared with Cheddar cheese, romaine lettuce, tomato, sweet onions and fresh avocado.
Mellow Mushroom in West Chester:
Next to the good food and great beer options, the other thing I LOVE about Mellow Mushroom is their decor. Each Mellow Mushroom we’ve visited has been outlandishly and uniquely designed and decorated. They are like snowflakes…each with their own design. The Mellow Mushroom in West Chester did not disappoint, it is designed to make you feel like you are at a seaside carnival, complete with a roller coaster on the ceiling and the all-knowing Zoltar watching over you while you eat. They really do put a lot of thought into the design of their restaurants, and I love taking in all the cool details while we dine.
