Spring Break 2016: We spent a long weekend travelling to three different cities in Ohio finding unique & interesting places to explore and visit. We stayed in some awesome hotels, ate some great food and saw so many cool things! I’ll share our trip with you in a series of installments in the coming weeks to help inspire your own Ohio Road Trip!
Liberty Aviation Museum in Port Clinton, Ohio ~
When your husband designs aircraft engine components for a living your family has no choice but to be fans of aviation, so when we were invited to visit the Liberty Aviation Museum in Port Clinton I eagerly accepted. Initially I accepted because I thought this would be a field trip that would really appeal to my husband. In the end though the entire family had an awesome time and learned some really interesting stuff. The Liberty Aviation Museum isn’t just about aircraft history, they also have vintage automobiles, military vehicles, and even some rehab projects going on with some of the vehicles.
If you are in the Port Clinton or Sandusky area I would highly recommend a visit to this cool aviation museum, and if get lucky like we did you might even be able to have a volunteer give you a guided tour to tell you all about the artifacts. And after you explore the museum be sure to stop by the Tin Goose Diner where you can step back in time and have lunch in an old school diner. We stopped by for some milkshakes and they were DELICIOUS.
