Over the Rhine is bursting at the seams with restaurants these days, and there’s just about every different kind of cuisine you can think of. One of my recent favorites is Ché Argentinian Restaurant on Walnut Street. Ché is probably most well known for their unique empanadas and gourmet pizza pies. If you go with friends you can share all of their empanadas on the menu and get to taste ALL of them! My favorites were the Buffalo Chicken and the Shrimp Scampi. Happy Hour is from 4-7pm each day and you can get a deal on those tasty empanadas and enjoy drink specials as well.
And as far as the pizzas go at Ché I’ve only tried the Grilled Asparagus pizza, but I loved it so much that I’ll probably eat that one again and again on future visits. Ché also has a selcetion of soups and salads on their menu if pizza and empanadas aren’t your thing. And to finish off your meal save room for pastries and coffee or another after dinner beverage.
Along with a fabulous food menu, the beer selection is spot on as well with interesting craft beers including quite a few local brews. And of course they have a variety of other adult beverages for you to try as well, I can only attest to the beer menu as that’s my beverage of choice. Ché Argentinian Restaurant’s gorgeous decor makes the restaurant feel intimate and cozy. They also have one of my favorite features in a restaurant, an open kitchen. I love watching all the action happening in a busy restaurant kitchen. Ché is not a huge establishment, so if you visit on a busy weekend night you might encounter a wait. Fortunately, 16 Bit Arcade + Bar is across the street, so you could have a drink and play some games before dinner should you have to wait for a table at Ché.
