This summer I had the golden opportunity to attend the Midsummer Harvest hosted by Bluegrass for Babies. It was such a lovely event, and I hope to go back next year as well. It is for a great cause…raising money for Children’s Hospital, and the food was out of this world.
There were chefs preparing food all afternoon from many of the top restaurants around town such as Dutch’s Larder, Table, Maribelle’s, Nectar, Local 127, Wildflower Cafe, Cumin, Metropole, Salazar, BrewRiver Gastropub, Senate and Bouquet. The meal was outstanding, and it left me wanting to go back to some of my favorite restaurants on the list above, and visit all of those I haven’t yet tried. There were also drinks from Madtree Brewing, Oakley Wines and the fabulous Molly Wellman from Japp’s made some tasty summer cocktail concoctions. There were also breads from Blue Oven Bakery, produce and meats from Green Bean Delivery and Honey from Carriage House Farm. You can read more about Bluegrass for Babies and the fantastic things they are doing for our community over at Family Friendly Cincinnati.
