Over Spring Break this year we visited one of our favorite museums for a day of hands on fun and learning. COSI (Center of Science & Industry) in Columbus is not your run of the mill museum, it is more like a warehouse of wonders. And the great thing is that kids just think that they are playing when in all actuality they are learning great things about science and the world around them. And let’s not kid ourselves – it is not just the kids that have fun, Michael and I were right there alongside of them playing and learning.
At COSI you can travel back in time in the Progress exhibit, ride a Unicycle high above the lobby, go under the sea in a Submarine, explore space, visit a Planetarium, see a 3D movie and SO MUCH MORE! This place is just amazing!
We live about an hour and a half away from COSI, and I think it is well worth the drive to spend a day exploring this museum. You might want to just go ahead and spend the night in Columbus though, because there is so much to do in this city, and to be quite honest, you could spend two whole days exploring COSI!

I love that there are volunteers roaming the halls ready to teach kids with cool activities…
And yes, you can even learn about “scat” at COSI. You can imagine how much my boys loved this activity:
COSI is located at 333 West Broad Street in Columbus, Ohio. Call or check the website before you visit, you may even be able to get in free if your local museum has reciprocal admission with COSI.
