Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind fine dining experience in downtown Cincinnati? Might I suggest Metropole? This popular restaurant is located in the
21C Museum Hotel on Walnut Street downtown, and the hotel is an experience on it’s own. The hotel features a rotating display of contemporary art that will dazzle you. I only got a glimpse of the artwork while we dined there and I was intrigued. It’s on my list of things I want to explore in this region now. I want to go back to just spend time checking out the art work. The food at Metropole is tantalizing and unique. They cook in a wood-burning fireplace and create menu items using fresh, seasonal ingredients that are locally sourced. The result is an outstanding feast. While cleaning out some of my files on the computer I came across some pictures from our trip to Metropole last summer when we celebrated my Dad’s birthday. I wanted to share them with you so you could get a glimpse at our memorable dining experience. Everything was lovely…from the service to the food to the cocktails. It’s certainly a great place to celebrate a special occasion or to take someone for a special date night. And with Metropole‘s central location downtown it’s the perfect place to eat and make a night of it downtown. Metropole is mere steps away from the Aronoff and the CAC, and just a block away from Fountain Square. And if you want to make it a truly special night you could book a room at the 21C Museum Hotel. I cannot wait for the occasion to visit this restaurant again. If you get a chance to go to Metropole, be sure to try the Carrot Salad, it’s delicious!
