Krohn Conservatory Holiday Show Magic & MistletoeThis week Henry and I went to the Krohn Conservatory Holiday Show, “Magic & Mistletoe” and it was beautiful!  We are big fans of train shows, but this holiday show with trains is one of a kind!  The trains wind their way through a magical fairy tale version of the Cincinnati area made entirely of natural materials.  The attention to detail is amazing…I loved wandering around taking it all in.  And so did Henry!  He was so excited to point out landmarks that he recognized and there were a few interactive pieces of the display where he could manipulate the lights and sounds in the display.  This holiday show is not to be missed, and fortunately for you I have a four pack of tickets to give away to one lucky reader!  This would make a perfect holiday out for a family night or for a romantic date night.  Celebrate the holidays at the Krohn Conservatory!

Krohn Conservatory Suspension Bridge Floral Show Delights

All Aboard for another exciting Krohn Holiday Show! Magic and Mistletoe will feature the return of our interactive train display and thousands of colorful poinsettias, cyclamen and tropical flowers.

Visitors will also experience local musicians, the Schmalz Family holiday display, extended “candlelight” hours, strategically placed baskets of mistletoe and great photo opportunities. Holiday magic will definitely be in the air!

Fantastic Train and Historical Botanical Architecture:

Delightful botanical architecture surrounded by many miles of train track will be created in natural components by the Applied Imagination team. Applied Imagination is unique in the world of garden railway displays.  The train display and historical buildings created by Applied Imagination will immerse our visitors in the sights and sounds of chugging trains and splashing water, with trains overhead and trolleys at your feet.  The “botanical architecture” of bridges and historical buildings, including the impressive Roebling Bridge, a cascading water feature, and replicas of historical buildings such as the Taft Birthplace and the Ault Park Pavilion, are all constructed of locally gathered willow and other natural materials. The whole family will this enjoy this addition!

A new display in the Fern House will feature three illuminated botanical balloons atop the pond, trains winding through the center tropical beds and a tiny version of Santa’s Village to delight children of all ages.
