Just to prove that Spring really will arrive (at some point) the Cincinnati Home & Garden show is coming to town from February 28 through March 8th to get you excited about Spring projects at your home and in your yard. There’s much to be done at our house, so I’m excited to go to the show and start planning some projects around here. The Cincinnati Home & Garden show will have so much to see and do, and will be a fun time for the entire family. Read more about the show and then enter to win tickets below – I have FOUR sets of tickets to give away to visit the show any day between March 4th through 8th.
The Cincinnati Home & Garden Show:
The Cincinnati Home & Garden Show® presented by the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky Honda Dealers returns February 28 – March 1 and March 4 – 8 to Duke Energy Convention Center. The largest and longest-running spring showcase in the region brings together more than 410 landscape and interior designers, remodeling specialists, manufacturers, retail stores, specialty boutiques and contractors.
“We have everything you want to bring your home and garden alive in 2015,” said Vicki Hart, CFO of Hart Productions. “Bring your friends and family to enjoy our beautiful landscape and interior design spaces, and seek advice from our wide variety of landscape architects, remodeling specialists, manufacturers, retail stores and contractors. Whether you’re in a home, condo or apartment, we have solutions that will fit your space and your budget.”
Learn from award-winning garden designer Jon Carloftis
Kentucky native Jon Carloftis, an award-winning garden designer, garden writer, lecturer and television guest on Home and Garden Channel (HGTV) and The Style Channel, will make an on-site appearance at the Show on Saturday, February 28.
Carloftis started his 23-year career in New York City where he became one of America’s pioneers in rooftop and small space gardening. Close to home, he partnered with 21c Museum Hotel to design and install a rooftop garden atop their maiden Louisville hotel.
Get inspiration for your spring projects by attending Carloftis’ seminars on Saturday, February 28, featuring new and exciting plants for your garden, container gardening and style in the garden with reclaimed and repurposed treasures.
“Whether you have a rooftop or balcony in the city, a small backyard in the suburbs or 100 acres in the country, it’s the small space right outside the back door that everyone uses most,” Carloftis explains. “With a little creativity, innovation and can-do spirit, any size space can make big impressions.”
Home improvement inspiration and resources
More than 400 tons of dirt, rock and stone will be used to create full-scale vignettes of landscapes and hardscapes, replicating yards with paved walkways, patios, flowers, shrubbery, water features, gazebos, hot tubs, garden walls and more.
Hundreds of home and garden service providers and industry experts will be on-site to field questions and help visitors plan their next project. Several interactive gardening and home improvement seminars from local and regional experts will be scheduled throughout the show.
