This post & giveaway is sponsored by Bluegrass for Babies. I agreed to help promote this event because I love Bluegrass for Babies, I love bluegrass music, I love events that are fun for the whole family, I love great fresh food, craft beer & gathering with other folks who enjoy the same things. So the Bluegrass for Babies Benefit Concert sounds like the perfect event for our family! I also enjoy giving back to others, and that’s exactly what Bluegrass for Babies does! Constantly striving to raise money for the littlest ones in our community. You can read more about Bluegrass for Babies and what they do in this Non-Profit Spotlight on Bluegrass for Babies post I wrote a little while back on Family Friendly Cincinnati. I attended B4B’s Midsummer Harvest this summer, so I know that these folks can really throw a party. I cannot wait to see what they have cooked up for their 5th Annual Bluegrass for Babies Benefit Concert in Sawyer Point on September 21st. Over the past five years the Bluegrass for Babies benefit concert has raised almost $80,000 for Children’s Hospital. You can find out more about Bluegrass for Babies on their website: www.bluegrassforbabies.com.
Bluegrass for Babies Benefit Concert takes place at Sawyer Point on Saturday, September
21st. The cost of the event is $15/adult presale and $20/adult the day of the show. Kids are FREE! Discounted tickets for groups are available, and parking at Sawyer Point will cost $8. For tickets and more information visit the Bluegrass for Babies website. There will be music performaces by several great local bluegrass bands: WildCarrot, Comet Bluegrass All-Stars, and The 23 String Band. Along with the great music there will be fresh, organic food offerings, craft beer for sale, and lots of fun activities for the kids!
Here’s more from Bluegrass for Babies about the fun they have planned:
- Farmer’s Market: Enjoy local, sustainably raised food from our Green B.E.A.N. Delivery Concession Stands, sample free guacamole from Chipotle, and choose from several locally made desserts. This area will also be the hub of a variety of farm-to-table themed kids’ activities.
- Healthy Home: Learn simple steps to create a healthier home environment.
- Family Wellnes: Take part in activities promoting healthy habits and disease prevention.
- Movement: Burn off energy through exercise activities such as soccer, basketball, and more!
- Art & Music: Nurture childhood development through numerous art and music activities.
- Special Needs Quiet Area: In the event of overstimulation, the Special Needs Quiet Area will provide a quiet refuge for special needs children and their families. This area is sponsored by the Merrill Lynch YHSA Group of Dayton.
And here’s another tasty tidbit: kids 12 and under eat free with the purchase of an adult meal from the Green B.E.A.N. Delivery concession stand until 5:30pm. One free kids meal per one purchased adult meal. Sound like fun?!? Yes it does! Mark your calendars
