NERF Weaponry ~ Not Just for Boys Anymore

Ok, so the title of this post is misleading, NERF hasn’t been just for boys in our family…EVER. Ella has always used her brother’s Nerf shotgun to defend herself against them. But NERF has always seemed to cater to the male population, all the ads feature boys after all. The same can be said for many shooting sports, even though plenty of girls participate and buy guns from places like the Fox Airsoft Store it’s often a very male-centric idea. The good news is that Nerf have changed things up and has come out with their fabulous new line of weaponry. These weapons all have a fancier design and color scheme to appeal to girls. This has been called the NERF Rebelle Bows & Blasters series. Not that the plain ol’ NERF guns that the boys own ever bothered Ella, but she was definitely tickled pink when her brand new Heartbroker Bow came in the mail last week.ll fun and games…no need to worry about real guns!
NERF Rebelle Campaign, I jumped at the chance! When the package arrived Ella could not wait to get outside and try out her Heartbreaker Bow. She LOVED the Hunger Games trilogy, so I think it thrilled her to have a bow like her hero Katniss Everdeen. Ella took on her brothers with her new bow, and according to her, she won the battle. Michael and I were impressed at how far the bow could shoot, and the boys were dying to get their hands on it as well. I think that we’ll definitely be adding items from the NERF Rebelle series to our NERF collection, and probably buying some for birthday gifts as well! They are so cool!
