Each year we try to explore a different Kentucky State Park. This summer we spent our vacation at Pennyrile State Park. It was a wonderful getaway….hiking, swimming in the lake, grilling out, napping, crocheting, riding in a paddle boat, enjoying the scenery from our lakefront cabin, reading books, and soaking up the sunshine. This park was very quiet and peaceful, not a lot of hustle and bustle, which I really liked. There are no big boats allowed on the lake, and I felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, which lent to the peacefulness of the trip. I’m hoping we’ll go back to this park at some point! You really cannot go wrong with the Kentucky State Parks!
