One of our favorite places to grab a burger in Northern Kentucky is Herb n Thelma’s Tavern. This little bar has been an institution in Covington since 1939. It is a quintessential small town bar where people greet you with a friendly smile and the bartender will probably even remember your brew of choice. This place is a throwback…there are little bits and pieces of memorabilia to represent many past generations. The bar is small and cozy and the no frills burgers hit the spot every time. Herb n Thelma’s doesn’t have a huge menu, they are best known for their burgers and bean soup. I love that you can feed a crowd here without breaking the bank. Be sure to bring extra quarters for pinball…and come thirsty, because they offer an interesting assortment of beers, including several local brews. Next time you are in the mood for the burger and you are near Covington make a stop at Herb n Thelma’s Tavern on Pike Street.

I love all the interesting decor….
Sometimes we play a little Exploding Kittens while we eat our burgers….
