Izzy's SoupWhen I think of winter, I think of soup.  It’s my favorite winter comfort food.  Everyone knows that Izzy’s is famous for Rubens and potato pancakes, but did you know that they have soup as well?  It wasn’t until recently that I realized that one of my favorite restaurants, Izzy’s, carries soup on their menu.  I had to check that out for myself!   This weekend we went to Izzy’s for dinner (on Saturday because Kids Eat FREE on Saturdays!) and we tried the chicken noodle soup.  It was the best chicken noodle soup I’ve ever had, with carrots and big bowtie noodles in a delectable broth. Henry loved it too, it was just what the doctor ordered for his sniffles.  I’ll be back very soon to try some of the other soups.  I’m a big fan of beef barley soup, and I’m interested in Izzy’s take on that.  And on Fridays they have Matzo Ball soup and I have it on good authority that it’s delicious too.  I was given a gift card to take my family to have dinner at Izzy’s and try the soup selection on the menu.  I was also given a $25 Izzy’s Gift Card to give to one lucky winner!  Read more about the soups and then enter the contest below for your chance to win the gift card.

Izzy's Chicken Noodle Soup

 Izzy’s Soup Selections ::

Izzy's SoupsDuring the cold winter months there is nothing quite like warming up with a delicious bowl of steaming, made-from-scratch soup. Izzy’s soups are all made in-house, from scratch, and are served up fresh daily with a slice of bread on the side or as an accompaniment to your favorite sandwich or wrap. Izzy’s famous soups – including local favorites Sweet and Sour Cabbage Soup and the much loved Matzo Ball Soup (available Friday’s only) — are just what you need when you are craving homemade soup without the cleanup.

Chicken Noodle – All white meat diced chicken breast and fresh vegetable in a deliciously seasoned chicken broth with bow tie noodles.

Broccoli Cheddar – Chopped broccoli, shredded carrots and a blend of seasonings served in a creamy cheese sauce.

Beef Barley – Plump pearl barley, fresh vegetable and chucks of beef cubes, simmered in a seasoned beef broth

Sweet-n-Sour Cabbage – Chopped cabbage and chunks of lean beef cubes simmered with select seasonings in beef broth.

Matzo Ball Soup is served Friday only and is one of the most popular soups served.
