Tonight we saw one of the funniest Broadway shows we have ever seen…A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder. This show was FANTASTIC!  The songs were catchy and hilarious, the choreography of all the action in the film is perfect, and the set was incredible.  The performers were awesome, but a special shout out must be made to John Rapson, who played not one part in the show, not two parts in the show…but NINE different characters!  His costume changes were done in the blink of an eye and his characters were hilarious.  I do not know how else to describe this show than to say it’s about love.  And murder.  And it’s hilarious.  And it will only be in town for a few days so get your tickets NOW!

A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder:

The Tony® Award winner for Best Musical, A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder, will play the Aronoff Center in Cincinnati, January 3 – 8, 2017 in its First National Tour as a part of Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati’s 16/17 Season presented by TriHealth.  Tickets are on sale now and available at the Aronoff Center Box Office downtown at 650 Walnut Street, online at CincinnatiArts.org or by phone at 513.621.ARTS.Gentleman’s Guide tells the uproarious story of Monty Navarro, a distant heir to a family fortune who sets out to jump the line of succession, by any means necessary. All the while, he’s got to juggle his mistress (she’s after more than just love), his fiancé (she’s his cousin but who’s keeping track?), and the constant threat of landing behind bars! Of course, it will all be worth it if he can slay his way to his inheritance… and be done in time for tea.

Critics across the country are raving about Gentleman’s Guide, hailed as “one of the best new Broadway musicals in years” by Time Out Chicago. The New York Times raved “Gentleman’s Guide will lift the hearts of all those who’ve been pining for what sometimes seems a lost art form.” The San Francisco Chronicle applauded Gentleman’s Guide as “one delight after another,” and the Hollywood Reporter enthused Gentleman’s Guide “restores our faith in musical comedy!”
