Spring Break 2016: We spent a long weekend travelling to three different cities in Ohio finding unique & interesting places to explore and visit. We stayed in some awesome hotels, ate some great food and saw so many cool things! I’ll share our trip with you in a series of installments in the coming weeks to help inspire your own Ohio Road Trip!
Mohican State Park ~
While driving through Ohio on our various adventures over Spring Break I thought it would be nice to spend a little time enjoying nature. I read an article about the Mohican State Park and thought that would be a perfect place to stop and stretch our legs on the long drive. Mohican State Park is just about a half hour away from Mansfield, Ohio and it’s a gorgeous place to visit. On this trip I didn’t plan for enough time to really explore the park, so we will have to put it on our itinerary for a future trip that way. We stayed at the park long enough to drive around and see some of the gorgeous views and to throw rocks in Clear Fork of the Mohican River, and walk across the covered bridge. Next time I hope to make time to hike and see Lyons Falls. For the time being though, it was a perfect place for our family to stop and catch our breath on a whirlwind long weekend crammed full of fun.
The Mohican State Park is a part of the Ohio State Parks and is located in Loudonville, Ohio.
