Menu Plan Monday ~ August 20

School is back in session, so I have vowed to be better at menu planning, since it saves me so much time, money and stress to have everything planned out.  And I vow to stick to that menu plan!  It’s so much better to have our family meals at home, so we are saving restaurants...

Deep Freeze Cooking

I have been spending quite a bit of time in my kitchen this week, trying to stock up my deep freeze for the coming months.  When I cook dinner I’ve been doubling and even tripling recipes to stick some in the deep freeze for easy dinner cooking later on.  We’ve also been freezing some of...

~~Sunday Sayings~~

Each Sunday I want to share with you a few words of wisdom. These might be words that I have stumbled upon during my day to day life, lyrics from a favorite song, a poem, a knock-knock joke, a quote from someone famous, or even from someone not-so-famous. Sometimes I see a quote, or hear...

{this moment} ….or perhaps a few today

Inspired by SouleMama: A Friday ritual. A single photo – no words – capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. If you’re inspired to do the same, leave a link to your ‘moment’ in the comments for all to find and see....

The Last Friday of Summer Vacation…

This summer flew by too quickly, but I think despite that fact and the fact that it was a busier than usual summer, we still managed to squeeze in quite a bit of fun!  To go out with a bang we spent our final Friday of summer vacation having quite a bit of fun…exploring &...

Jumpstart ~ Sam Style

I just dropped Sam off at school for Kindergarten Jumpstart.  It’s a two day introduction to Kindergarten, just to get the kids used to things and comfortable before school starts for everyone next week.  I don’t think Jumpstart is just for the kids though…it’s definitely for the parents.  We have to get used to things...

Tomato + Mozz + Basil Appetizer

This is truly one of the easiest appetizers I’ve ever made…take some fresh mozzarella cut into small pieces, fresh basil leaves & cherry or grape tomatoes and put the combo on a toothpick.  Then put the tooth-picked goodness on a plate and drizzle balsamic vinegar lightly over the appetizers just before serving.  It’s perfect.  And...

I’ve decided that I need to start sharing my note card specials on my blog.  I LOVE making & selling note cards, and each month I have specials & deals for my customers.  My cards are sweet & simple…and best of all, affordable. I have a great special in mind for August, but in the...

Menu Plan Monday ~ In Reverse ~ August 6

Last week was a super busy week with summer adventures and wedding festivities. Ella and I were in my sweet cousin Veronica’s wedding this past weekend, and it was such a fabulous event! We were on the go for much of the week, so my dinner menu links are lacking, but check out all of...

Running Errands with Sir Henry

Yesterday Henry insisted on wearing his helmet EVERYWHERE.  And sometimes I know better than to argue with a 2 year old…I pick my battles, and this was not one of them.  Plus it was kind of cute.  An entire group of employees from the nail salon at Kenwood Mall stopped to stare at him.  The...
