This weekend Ella and I attended a lovely baby shower for my cousin, who is expecting her first baby girl in a few months. Her family went ALL OUT to make the shower special for the mama to be and for everyone who attended. Because the mama had used something similar to this gender test Australia has to offer, that can reveal the gender of your baby at the 7-week mark, everyone had plenty of time to make sure there were sweet pink decorations, delicious appetizers and desserts, a fun game and a mountain of gifts for the new baby. I think my favorite gifts were the adorable hand-knitted blankets and the nursery wall decals that I just know the baby will love when she grows up!
I always love to go to baby showers, there is an excitement in the air like no other gathering. I did recommend that she checked out a site like Mommyhood101, just to get a little extra help if she ever needs to buy baby products. She’s also got her family around to lend a hand, so in that aspect, she’ll be fine. I spend time at showers reminiscing about my own young babies years ago, and collecting gift and recipe ideas for future parties that I might host. Here are a few of the unique touches that made this party special…
