Our family had a little getaway to Columbus last week…we went to COSI (Cincinnati Museum Center members get in FREE!), visited with cousins that we just don’t see often enough, ate delicious ice cream from Jenny’s, stayed in a beautiful hotel and went to the Columbus zoo & Aquarium (half price for Cincy zoo members!)....

New shelves constructed in an old ironing board cabinet…a home for my salt & pepper collection, which has been boxed up since we got married (thanks Michael!). And cookies from the BonBonerie…yummy!
We went on a mini-vacation last week to Cumberland Falls. There were thunderstorms aplenty (I love thunderstorms!) but we were still able to spend some time outside…we went on a long hike to Eagle Creek Falls, Ella and I went horseback riding, and we even went to the pool for a bit. the kids loved...

Ella did a service learning project for school this month…she collected tubes of chapstick from family and friends and took them to the guests at the Parish Kitchen. She and Max handed out the chapstick to everyone who was dining at the kitchen that day. At school, Ella earned a golden work ethic service award...
